BUT, something LIKE THIS could happen to you almost every day, am I right? There’s always things coming up that we didn’t plan for, but you also just can’t BLOW OFF your workouts if you want to reach your health & fitness goals.   That’s why I’m excited to share my interview that I recently did with Jen Sinkler, creator of Lift Weights Faster, a metabolic conditioning workout library […]

The Ten-Four: A Lift Weights Faster Workout

I know it can be easy to get caught up in the ALL or Nothing mindset of exercise, especially this time of year.  We think if we don’t have a full hour in our day to go to the gym and get a workout in, that we might as well skip it.   However, I’m a true believer that SOMETHING is better than NOTHING!  If you could only do 10 minutes/day, wouldn’t 70 minutes total time in a week be better than 0 minutes, if you did nothing?   That’s why I really like the program my friend, Jen Sinkler, created called Lift Weights Faster.  I’ve been using it a lot lately, especially while I was traveling over the holidays, to stay consistent with my exercise.  There’s workouts ranging from 5 – 30 minutes.  Short, quick, effective, & DONE!   Details on how to purchase the program […]

Dear Moderation, How Did This Happen?

I stepped on the scale, and what did I see? 154 lbs in digital form staring back at me! But, how did this happen? 10 pounds in a year!  I was incorporating more moderation into my diet, which is suppose to be better than being too strict.  And, I kept up with my workouts, and was even more MINDFUL of my MOVEMENT with the purchase of my Fitbit!  But the reality is, that last year at this time, I weighed around 145-148 lbs.  Even though my ego would like to think, it’s muscle weight…it’s most likely NOT!   Sometimes the TRUTH just smacks you in the face when you step on the scale.  I’d ignored the snugness of my jeans and some of my other clothes over the year.  But, in that moment of truth, my trainer brain turned on, and said, “T-Moo, this has nothing to do with […]

What’s Your Theme in 2016?

“People come up with resolutions that don’t reflect what matters most to them and that makes them almost guaranteed to fail.” – Kelly McGonigal   Have you ever pondered the thought above?  I have, and I can agree!  I mean a lot of us have set goals or resolutions because we think it’s what we “should” be doing because everyone else is doing it. Or worse, we think something is wrong with us, so our goals are based in negativity, which isn’t very inspiring or motivating at all.   But, without a strong REASON or WHY for wanting to change something, it’s usually not going to last long term.  A better question we could ask ourselves is, “What do I REALLY WANT for myself and my life, and what kind of person do I want to be in the face of my circumstances?”  That’s why I suggest setting a […]

The Secrets to Success: Master Your Mind, Body, & Business

As I reflect on the past year, I think of all that I’ve accomplished and all that I want to do in 2016.  It’s been a tremendous year of growth for me on a physical, mental, & emotional level.  I’ve had to do a lot of work to master my mindset and stay in action.  I have a lot of this growth to attribute to starting an online business from scratch.   And man, it’s been tough, much tougher than taking over and owning my brick & mortar business in San Diego.  And, I really thought that I would be a lot further along  than I am now, in one year, with my online business.  Actually, I thought about quitting several times because I just couldn’t get to where I wanted to be or thought I “should” be…Does this sound familiar to any journey you’ve been on or goal you’ve […]
